Detailed introduction to the performance of the dust collector bag

The efficiency, strength, air permeability, dust retention capacity, and service life of the dust collection bag are collectively referred to as filtration performance.

Filtration efficiency of the dust collection bag. On the one hand, the filtration efficiency of the filter material is related to the structure of the filter material and, on the other hand, it also depends on the dust layer formed in the filter material. From the point of view of the structure of the filter material, the filtering effect of short fibers is greater than that of long fibers. The felt filter material is higher than the fabric filter material. From the point of view of dust layer formation, for thin filter materials, after dust removal, the dust layer is destroyed and the efficiency is considerably reduced, while for thick filter materials, some dust can be retained in the filter material after dust removal to prevent excessive dust removal. Overall, maximum efficiency can be achieved when the filter material is not broken. Therefore, as long as the design parameters are selected correctly, the dust removal effect of the sleeve filter should not be a problem.

Air permeability and resistance of the dust collection bag. Air permeability refers to the amount of gas passing through the filter material per unit area under some differential pressure. The resistance of the filter material is directly related to air permeability. As a constant pressure difference value for the calibrated air permeability, the value varies from one country to another. The permeability to air depends on the fineness of the fiber, the fiber, and the type and method of weaving. Air permeability generally refers to the air permeability of clean filter material. When dust accumulates in the dust bag, air permeability will decrease.

The dust holding capacity of the dust collector bag. The dust holding capacity, also known as the dust load, refers to the amount of dust accumulated in the filter material per unit area when a given strength value is reached. The dust holding capacity of the dust bag affects the strength of the filter material and the cleaning cycle. To avoid frequent dust cleaning and extend the life of the filter bag, it is generally required that the dust holding capacity of the filter material be increased. The dust retention capacity is related to the porosity and air permeability of the filter material. The felt filter material has a higher dust holding capacity than the fabric filter material.

The service life of the filter material in the dust collection bag. The lifetime of the filter material refers to the time when the filter material is damaged under normal conditions of use. The service life of the filter material depends on two factors, the quality of the filter material itself and the conditions of use.
