PROBLEMS AND PROCESSING METHODS OF PULSE FILTER BAGS

At present, a pulse bag filter is used in most industries, including projects under construction. Pulse bag filter has many advantages such as small volume, high filter wind speed, small floor space, easy to maintain, and so on.

However, most customers do not know or even know nothing about the use of dust removal equipment and filter bags. In order to prevent and solve the problems during the use of the pulse filter bag, the use of the problem and treatment methods are provided to the majority of users.

According to the problems occurred in the application of pulse filter bags, and the treatment methods are listed in detail:

1. Abrasion of the filter bag

(1) Filter bag mouth area

① Most of the damage is within 400mm below the filter bag mouth, and most of the damage marks are from inside to outside. The surface layer is blown off by compressed air first, then the scrim is blown out, and finally, the filter surface is also blown out. When one side of the filter bag is broken, the smoke usually passes through the position of least resistance. The smoke flows directly from the breakpoint to the clean air chamber. When the smoke passes through, the dust will impact the breakpoint, resulting in the annular damage of the bag’s mouth and even the separation of the bag head and the bag body.

The damage is caused by high compressed air, slanting blowpipe, deformation of flower plate, etc., which can be avoided after adjustment.

② The bag’s mouth is damaged in the groove, and the damage marks are mostly from the outside to the inside. The grooves are worn off, and the bag head falls off in severe cases.

The main cause of damage is improper installation or small bag opening diameter.

③ The damage on the outside of the bag mouth is within the length range of the blowpipe and the flower plate, the damage marks are from the outside to the inside, the fibers and the scrim are all worn or broken, and even fall off.

Most of the reasons for the damage are poor installation, small bag opening, or high-pressure difference, which causes the filter bag to be separated from the top of the flower plate and placed on the cover plate of the spray pipe or dust collector, and friction to damage finally. It is commonly used in blast furnace gas dedusting.
