PTFE Needle-Punched Felt Filter Bags for Dust Collection

Benefiting from the ultra-strong molecular bond energy, the material boasts a melting point of 327°C. It can operate continuously under harsh conditions up to 240°C, with an instantaneous temperature resistance of up to 260°C. Meanwhile, it maintains a very low thermal shrinkage and coefficient of thermal expansion, ensuring exceptional dimensional stability even during drastic temperature fluctuations.

Within the entire PH range of 0–14, it exhibits absolute resistance to almost all strong acids, alkalis, strong oxidizers, and organic solvents. In highly corrosive environments such as chemical processing and metal smelting, its service life is typically 3 to 5 times longer than that of conventional filter media.

PTFE has extremely low surface energy, making it naturally hydrophobic and non-hygroscopic, with a water contact angle >150°$. This effectively prevents dust “blinding” or caking issues caused by flue gas condensation or moisture absorption, making it ideal for handling moist dust.

With an exceptionally low coefficient of friction (as low as 0.04) and a mirror-smooth surface, dust struggles to adhere to the material. During pulse-jet cleaning, the dust cake releases automatically, improving cleaning efficiency by more than 40% compared to conventional filter media.

Description

Filmedia® is a professional manufacturer of dust collection filter bags. We supply diversified material filter bags with customized sizes and surface treatments, serving industrial dust removal systems across global industries with reliable quality and full technical support.

Base Fabric Material – PTFE Needle Felt

PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) needle-punched felt, as a flagship filter material in the high-end industrial dust removal field, is a non-woven filter material made of PTFE fiber as the base material and processed through a three-dimensional needle-punching process. Thanks to the unique chemical configuration of PTFE molecules, this material exhibits unparalleled technical advantages and an ultra-long service life when facing extremely complex industrial flue gas conditions such as high temperature, strong corrosion, and high humidity. With its unique material properties and technological advantages, PTFE needle-punched felt has become the preferred filter medium in the field of high-temperature and highly corrosive gas purification, playing an irreplaceable technical support role in promoting industrial environmental protection upgrades.
