Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) Filter Cloth for Solid-Liquid Separation

Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) filter cloth—also known as Vinylon filter cloth—is widely used for solid-liquid separation in highly alkaline operating environments due to its excellent alkali resistance, good mechanical strength, and hydrophilicity. It maintains stable filtration performance over long periods in strongly alkaline media and resists degradation caused by alkali corrosion, making it an ideal filtration material for many processes involving alkaline slurries.

  • Its uniform woven structure effectively captures particles while maintaining high liquid permeability, resulting in faster filtration speeds and higher separation efficiency.
  • The inherent hydrophilicity of Vinylon fibers facilitates rapid liquid penetration, reduces filtration resistance, and promotes the formation and release of the filter cake; this shortens filtration cycles and boosts overall process productivity.
