Pleated Filter Bags for Dust Collection

The use of pleated bags to retrofit existing precipitators eliminates the need to retrofit precipitator bodies and replaces existing bags and keels directly, increasing system filtration area by 50-150%, which is the best improvement program for improving the production efficiency and capacity of dedusting systems.

The use of wrinkled bag instead of ordinary round or oval bag can greatly increase the system filter area, can directly reduce the air-cloth ratio, significantly reduce the system pressure and pulse frequency, thereby significantly reducing the system’s dust emissions, especially ultra-fine dust emissions.

The use of wrinkled bag instead of ordinary round or oval bag, the pressure drop of the system is greatly reduced, the energy consumption of the fan is greatly reduced; the injection frequency is significantly reduced, and thus the compressed air usage is significantly reduced, and the loss of the injection system components is also greatly reduced.

By replacing conventional cylindrical or elliptical filter bags with pleated ones—and utilizing a unique design that integrates the filter bag with its support cage—fatigue damage caused by the horizontal support rings of traditional cages is completely eliminated. Furthermore, the lower operating pressure and reduced pulse-cleaning frequency significantly minimize fatigue damage, thereby substantially extending the service life of the filter bags.

The new type of dust collector utilizes pleated filter bags to replace traditional cylindrical or elliptical fabric bags. At the same air-to-cloth ratio, this design allows for a significant reduction in the size of the housing and the pulse-jet cleaning system; consequently, it lowers the initial equipment investment and footprint of the cleaning system while maintaining or enhancing overall system efficiency.

Description

Filmedia® is a professional manufacturer of dust collection filter bags. We supply diversified material filter bags with customized sizes and surface treatments, serving industrial dust removal systems across global industries with reliable quality and full technical support.

Pleated filter bags are the preferred, space-efficient choice for modern industrial environmental protection applications characterized by high airflow, limited space, and stringent emission standards. Through precise material selection, optimized airflow velocity control, and protection provided by specialized support cages, they deliver long-term economic, energy-saving, and emission-reduction benefits that far surpass those of traditional cylindrical bags.

Polyimide (P84®) Needle Felt

  • Operating Temperature: ≤ 240°C
  • Features: Unique trilobal fiber cross-section provides exceptionally high surface filtration efficiency and superior fine-particle capture performance.
  • Applications: Fine dust filtration, waste incineration, cement plants, chemical industries, and other demanding high-temperature applications.

Specialized Cages for Pleated Filter Bags

Pleated filter bags require specialized cages to fully leverage their advantages, such as large filtration area, efficient dust cleaning, and long service life.

  • No horizontal support rings

The cage features a design without horizontal support rings, providing a more uniform and stable support structure for the filter bag while effectively preventing localized friction and mechanical damage between the bag and the cage.

  • Corrosion-resistant stainless steel material

Constructed from high-quality stainless steel, the cage offers excellent corrosion resistance and will not damage the filter bag material through rusting, making it particularly suitable for operating conditions involving high humidity, high temperatures, and corrosive flue gas.
